The title is maybe Shanghai, but the movie was actually essentially filmed in Bangkok, Thailand. The Chinese government refused its authorization to the production team.

The movie is about Chun-Li after all: it is an origin story. So let’s enjoy this Chun-Li movie! Anf for the fanboys, don’t be too sad, I bet that Ryu and Ken will get a movie soon!
